About the Religious Education Program
The religious education program, described in our prospectus, offers an engaging variety of learning experiences for each grade level, appropriate to the children's developmental needs and abilities, grounded in our Unitarian Universalist principles.
The religious education program for children is offered from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Sundays from mid-September to mid-May, concurrent with the adult worship service. There are separate classes for each age and grade, ages three through sixth grade. Supervised childcare is available for infants and toddlers. We also offer programs for youth, 7th through 12th grades. Please see the section on youth for details.
Our Sunday school offers a wide variety of learning experiences that provide for maximum interaction among children and their teachers in an informal atmosphere. Our teaching teams consist of three or four adult volunteers who are trained to teach the curriculum.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children regularly and on time, to take an interest in the program, to consider ways they might help out, to put down roots in their religious community and to be responsible for their children's safety before and after the scheduled program.
