Caring Ministry
As Unitarian Universalists, we affirm the healing power of love and believe that caring relationships are an essential element of spiritual well-being. We believe that both giving and receiving care are life-enhancing and can bring forth hidden possibilities and potentialities. At Shelter Rock, we are committed to cultivating a caring community wherein people of all ages will feel supported during times of trial and where individual milestones and joys can be shared and celebrated.
Our Caring Ministry is comprised of three components: Pastoral Care, provided by our ministers, our ever-developing Lay Chaplaincy and the many ministries of our Caring Committee.
In addition to the care provided through these forms of ministry, Shelter Rock members may also have their sorrows and joys included in the Remembrances on a Sunday morning. If you would like to be acknowledged during the Sunday service, please contact us.
