Programs for New Members

Our ministry of membership welcomes and orients newcomers to our congregation, provides programs of recognition for those who become members and encourages and supports events and activities that integrate new members into the congregation and our wider Unitarian Universalist faith.

Finding Your Place: An Introduction to Shelter Rock
This program is a helpful introduction to the unique Unitarian Universalist way of being religious and to some of the people and customs of this particular congregation. UU history, theology and polity will be discussed, as well as what is expected of members new to the congregation. Participants will meet and hear from the ministers and key leaders of the congregation and learn about the breadth of ministries here at Shelter Rock. A tour of the building, lunch and lots of opportunities to ask questions round out the day. Offered three times a year. (Childcare provided.)

Inquirer's Sundays
Monthly sessions following the Sunday service for visitors curious to know more about the congregation and Unitarian Universalism. Led by the ministers.

New Member Sundays

New Member Pot Luck Suppers
